Brooks Fuller

Treasurer, Executive Director, Open Government Coalition

Brooks Fuller is a former Assistant Professor at Elon University School of Communications, specializing in media law and policy. With a Ph.D. in Mass Communication from UNC – Chapel Hill, Brooks focused on free expression, political extremism, and media ethics through qualitative research. He also served as the Executive Director of the North Carolina Open Government Coalition, where he advocated for government transparency and educated the public about their right to access information. Known for his dedication and collaborative spirit, Brooks is now moving on to a new role with American Oversight, where he’ll continue to fight for government accountability on a national scale.
