Flor Herrera-Picasso, co-founder and Executive Director of Casa Azul de Wilson, has always been driven by a commitment to social justice and education equity. After several years in the fashion industry, Flor became disillusioned with its superficiality and the global inequities it perpetuated. This realization propelled her to return to her hometown and address the unmet needs of her community. Flor’s experience in the industry sharpened her organizational and leadership skills, which she now applies to creating a vibrant, inclusive space where Latinx families can thrive. Alongside her sister Elizabeth, they have built Casa Azul into a beacon of hope and empowerment for the community. As a dynamic duo, Elizabeth and Flor continue to bring a unique blend of passion and dedication to their shared mission.
